The Brintex portfolio of events falls into various industry
sectors, many of which benefit from close editorial support from
Hemming Group publications.
Traffic Management and Intelligent Transport
Systems
The fastest growing sector of the Brintex business servies the
traffic technology industry. Traffex is one
of Europe's largest engineering, road safety and highway
maintenance events, whilst the ITS (Intelligent Transport
Systems) series of peripatetic congresses and exhibitions
are world-class. Brintex also works with the British Parking
Association in the presentation of the annual
Parkex that covers the latest innovations in
parking enforcement technology.
Drinks
The single largest event in the Brintex calendar is the annual
London International Wine Fair. Wholly owned
and developed by Brintex since its inauguration in 1981, the Fair
is now one of the world's leading wine trade events with an
international gross audience of 19,000 professional visitors.
In 2008 Distil - the business of spirits was added
alongside the Wine Fair to provide a platform for the global
spirits brands to exhibit.
Emergency Services
For many years Brintex has partnered with some of the UK's most
highly regarded public sector emergency services associations to
bring a series of focused events to their members and a wide trade
audience. The British Association of Public Safety
Communications Officers, the Association of Chief Police Officers
and the Association of Police Authorities run their annual
conferences and exhibition in partnership with Brintex.
Fashion and Clothing
Brintex has a long tradition of organising events for the UK
fashion market. The current portfolio includes a series of
roadshows for the lingerie trade that take the suppliers to the
buyers to exhibit in various major cities. In April 2007
Brintex acquired Surf Shop Expo, Europe's leading
dedicated event for the boardriding retail trade. This event
has now been expanded to include the complete boardsports industry
and re-titled HUB. Apart from the hardware,
HUB includes a full range of apparel, accessories and footwear for
the surf, skate, and street clothing buyers.
Local Government
The Hemming Group has been closely involved in the local
government and public sector arena for many years and subsequently
are entrusted to organise a number of key events and conferences in
partnership with corresponding government agencies. Supported
through our Municipal Yearbook, The MJ, and Surveyor magazines,
Brintex are uniquely placed to successfully manage such key
exhibitions as the National Children and Adult Services
Exhibition as well as the Local Government
Association Exhibition. New in the calendar for 2010
is the Public Property Expo that brings together
those responsible for delivering operational efficiency savings,
relocation and the modernisation of the £370 billion public sector
estate.
